Accounts Officer (Group B, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial)
- Total Posts: 05 (One in each specified regional office)
- Recruitment Basis: Deputation (3 years)
Eligibility Criteria
a) Officers under the Central Government:
- i. Holding analogous posts on regular basis in parent cadre/department OR ii. 5 years’ service in Level-5 (or equivalent) after appointment thereto on a regular basis.
- and
- b) Must possess ONE of the following:
- i. Pass in SAS or equivalent exam conducted by any Organized Accounts Department of the Central Government; OR
- ii. Successful completion of training in Cash & Accounts Work in ISTM (or equivalent) with minimum 3 years’ experience in Cash, Accounts, and Budget work.
Note:
- Feeder category department officers in the line of promotion are not eligible.
- Deputation period, including earlier deputation, must not exceed 3 years. Maximum age: Not exceeding 56 years as of last application day.

- Pay Level: 7
- Pay Scale: ₹44,900–1,42,400
- Allowances as per government rules
